Traveling for breakfast
Sunday June 7th, day 80 of Buenos Aires lock-down. This morning we traveled to the UK for breakfast: eggs, bacon, sausage, tomato, mushrooms and beans thanks to chef Tobias.
To drink, we had English breakfast tea which I recently bought in bulk because they are speaking of closing imports to protect the Central bank's dollar reserves, and some things are just absolutely essential...
The breakfast was delicious but I think I'll need to run another 45 laps around the garden now! There is not much else to do if you want to be a law-abiding citizen.
The UK is not the only place we have traveled to on Sunday morning: a few weeks ago, Alex took us to the US with an authentic lumberjack breakfast, fully home-made hash browns, eggs and bacon cooked on the griddle. With chef Tobias we also traveled to Mexico for a huevos rancheros morning, complete with home made tortillas (!!), chili-peppers and refried beans.
Even through breakfast, it is so interesting to compare cultures!
